The primary areas of human services addressed are day programs for adults with developmental disabilities and treatment of substance abuse. Funded programs have applied through a competitive bid process, entered into contracts with the County, and are monitored for compliance by the Human Services Office.

Port Angeles is a safe place where young people thrive, free from substance misuse and supported in their overall health and well-being. Together, we aim to prevent young people from developing an unhealthy relationship with alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, opioids, and other substances. Substance use disorder does not discriminate. NAMI of Clallam County Washington is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization steered by an all volunteer Board of Directors and consist of over 60 dues-paying members throughout Clallam County. Our affiliate collaborates with others to advocate for system change and public policies that best serve to support recovery and resiliency for those whose lives are affected by mental illness.
